The Power of Try

I recently heard that Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, didn’t originally expect to succeed. In fact, he was sure his first few tries with SpaceX launches were going to fail. But he did it anyway because he believed it was too important not to try.

When it comes to chiropractic and outreach, that is exactly how I feel. Half the time, I have no clue if my ideas will work, but I also know that the message we have is too important. It’s too important not to try.

What happens if that mom never learns how chiropractic can help her son concentrate at school? That little boy will get diagnosed with ADD, put on medication, and have to live with the side effects the rest of his life.

What happens if that father never learns how chiropractic can help those constant migraines that no amount of pain pills will take away? He’s not only addicted to medication, but now he can’t work and his wife is thinking about taking the kids because her husband is never available for her.

There’s a lot of people out there who need the message of hope that we can give. So who cares if our wellness workshop is a flop? It may hurt our pride a bit, but who cares? Time to move on to the next idea.

The point is, we can’t quit trying. What we have is too important.
